Specially formulated, polymer-modified, gypsum-based, high-strength trowel-able underlayment. For smoothing surfaces and filling cracks, holes, and depressions in gypsum and concrete subfloors

- TOOLS NEEDED: Mixing Pail, volume measuring tool, high-speed mixing drill (850 rpm), stainless steel spatula, trowel.
- All subfloors must be structurally sound, broom-cleaned, and contaminant-free
- All subfloors must be dry and at least 50 °F (10 °C).
- When adding cement to water, begin with 4.0 qts (3.8L) of water per 25 lb bag of Gyp-Fix EZ. For desired consistency, increase total water volume up to 4.4 qts (4.1 L). Mix cement into water for smaller quantities, beginning with a 3:1 cement-to-water ratio by volume. Increase water volume up to 10% as desired. Depending on the amount, mix until lump-free with a drill or a stainless-steel spatula.
- Only mix the amount that can be applied within 20 minutes
- Dry time varies based on building conditions and the depth of the applied material. Gyp-Fix EZ is typically ready for foot traffic in 40 minutes for skim coat, and when applied at ¼”, it is ready for floor coverings in about 12 hours. Deeper areas will require longer dry times.
