Arc Inc. Joint Reinforcement Tape
The Arc Inc. joint reinforcement tape is a rugged, flexible tape for covering joints to prevent moisture penetration and provide a sound foundation for tile or stone overlayments. It also acts as an anti-fracture protection between substrates and hard surface coverings
Features
- Use to cover joints between ARC TrueDEK shower foundations and surrounding tile backer and to cover joints between tile backer panels
- Bonds well with TANK/10 waterproofing compound
- Dimensions
- width: 4-3/4" overall; 1" mesh edges; 2-3/4" center
- Length: choose between 25 ft., 50 ft. (sold as 2 25 ft. rolls) or 490 ft
- Thickness: approximately 1mm
- Easily fold tape for inside and outside joints with 90° interfaces, such as wall-to-floor joints, wall-to-wall joints, all joints of shower benches, and built-in niches (shadow box shelves)
- For a precise, crisply formed crease, use an iron set on low and lightly press the folded tape for a few seconds (experiment with the heat setting and duration)
- Impermeable center polyester (blue) areas
- Fill gaps beneath tape that are 1/8" wide or more using latex caulk or thin-set mortar (do not use silicone)
- Easily cut with scissors or utility knife
