General 4400 Series Auger Bits

General Equipment Company 4400 Series Pengo-Type Boring Head Auger Bits are heat treated alloy steel capable of digging holes up to 18 inches in diameter and 36 inches deep without an extension. Offers excellent digging performance for small, hand-held type hole digging products when drilling in tough soil classifications such as sandstone, fractured limestone, caliche, compacted clay and rubble.

• Designed to be used with the 330 series two-man hole diggers
• Available in 4 inch (102mm) to 18 inch (458mm) nominal diameters
• Standard 36 inch (914mm) effective auger digging depth without extension (except 18 inch diameter bit)
• 18 inch diameter bit has a 18 inch effective digging depth for planting balled-type trees
• The plain shaft-type auger extension can be used with all augers and increases the digging depth by 15 inches (381mm) making bits capable of digging a 51 inch hole (1295mm)
• Heavy-walled axle to better withstand bending and torque loads
• Heavy-gauged helicoid flighting for added structural strength
• The flighting pitch set to minimize the power required and maximizes the amount of soil removed from the hole
• One piece, cast steel LDBH series boring head design sets tooth position for optimum digging performance
• Field replaceable alloy steel centering screw bit
• Field replaceable steel cutting teeth
• 1-3/8 inch (35mm) hexagon auger drive connection
• 3/8 inch (9.5mm) diameter auger pin connection
• All bits are 36 inches in length (except 18 inch diameter bit)
• Extension bit is 15 inches in length
