Armeg PTB Carbide Porcelain Tile Drill Bits

These tile drill bits allow for accurate holes and an easy start-up. With proper usage, they last, on average, 30 to 40 holes. They are exclusively used with pressurized water to keep them cool.

Features

  • Diamond ground tip geometry actually bites
  • Easy Start-up and rapid penetration in most tiles
  • Special carbide tip ensures accurate holes and virtually eliminates drill bit wander
  • The recommended operating speed is between 700 and 900 Rpm
  • Spray water on the PTB bit when drilling to keep the bit cool and sharp
  • Renewing tip geometry: when the product life is exhausted in Porcelain, the PTB bit can be used in softer materials
  • It does not last as long as a diamond hole saw
  • Not recommended for use on wood
  • The PTB 1/4" carbide bit is also used to drill a pilot hole necessary for use with the PTB water feed adapter for Diamond Crowns
  • Armeg PTB carbide drill bits can also be used in marble, granite, travertine, natural slate, quarry tiles, ceramic tiles, natural stone, limestone, rosemary roof tiles, etc
  • Made from P100-grade carbide in the UK

Overpriced for performance

I drilled 10 1/4" holes in ceramic for a shower door and then one into my porcelain shower. It could not finish the one hole in the hard porcelain. I used the correct drill RPM, constant water spray. For the price, I surely expected better. I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for but that is not true in this case.

great product

These bits are by far the best for drilling any type of tile or stone. The only thing is that they break easy if dropped or not cooled properly. Store well and spray with excessive amounts of water and you will be happy with the results.

just buy it

Best bits you can get hands down, use water while drilling and they will last a long time. I normally lost them before they wore out.
