The standard grate assembly for the Kerdi-Line linear drain system is a low-profile linear shower drain specifically designed for bonded waterproofing assemblies that can be installed adjacent to walls or at intermediate locations.

• The grate assembly consists of a stainless steel frame that can be seamlessly adjusted to the thickness of the ceramic tile or stone covering – 1 "8" to "1" (3 mm to 25 mm) for standard grate assemblies and a stainless steel grate that is placed within the frame
• The standard Kerdi-Line grate is available in two options: Solid or Square
• Each standard assembly is available in a brushed, chrome, or textured color-coated finish
• Available in lengths ranging from 19-11/"6" (50 cm) to 70-13/" """ (180 cm)
• If the tile being installed is 1/8" - 9/16" thick, select the 3/4" frame height option
• If the tile being installed is 1 "2" -"1" thick, select the 1-1 "8" frame height option
• Requires no special maintenance and is resistant to mold and fungi

How far from the wall is the KERDI-LINE linear drain installed?

It is installed directly against the wall, so the channel body support is in contact with it. The drain outlet is approximately 2 1 "8" o.c. from the edge of the wallboard.

Can I use another manufacturer's drain with your Schluter-Shower System?

The Schluter-KERDI-LINE drains are specifically designed to integrate with the Schluter-Shower System. The 10-Year Limited Warranty of the Schluter-Shower System is void if other drains are used.

Is the Schluter Shower System waterproof?

The Schluter-Shower System is an integrated family of products forming a fully bonded, watertight assembly for tiled showers. Unlike shower pan liners in conventional assemblies, we bonded waterproof membranes, such as Schluter-KERDI, bond directly to the mortar bed, protecting it from becoming saturated with regular use.
