- A stainless steel plate with Schluter Kerdi Waterproofing Membrane laminated on the surface to allow for bonding ceramic or stone tile
- Available in lengths ranging from 19-11/16" (50 cm) to 70-13/16"" (180 cm)
- Two outlet positions available: center or offset
- The offset outlet grate kits are only available in lengths from 27-9/16" (70 cm) to 47-1/4" (120 cm)
- Requires no special maintenance and is resistant to mold and fungi
- If KERDI-LINE is placed at shower entrance, it is recommended that the drainage openings span the maximum width of the entrance to limit potential overflow
- The grate may be removed to clean the drain housing and the drain pipes
- Channel body is sold separately
Common Questions
What setting material or thinset should be used for the drain installation?
Apply any Schluter thinset mortar or an unmodified thinset mortar to the substrate with a notched trowel where the drain channel support is to be placed
Is the tileable Kerdi-Line Drain Grate removeable?
Yes, the covering support can be removed for cleaning purposes using the supplied Schluter drain grate hook
Is the Schluter Shower System waterproof?
The Schluter-Shower System is an integrated family of products that together form a fully bonded, watertight assembly for tiled showers. Unlike shower pan liners in conventional assemblies, bonded waterproof membranes, such as Schluter-KERDI, bond directly to the mortar bed and protect it from becoming saturated with regular use.
