- The membrane is anchored with fleece on both sides for efficient waterproofing on walls and floors
- 8-mil thick and has a water vapor permanence of 0.90 perms when tested according to ASTM E96, using Procedure E at 90% relative humidity
- Bonded waterproofing membrane and vapor retarder with very low water vapor permanence for use in continuous-use steam rooms and similar applications
Available Sizes
- 3' 3" x 16' 5" = 54 sq ft (1 m x 5 m = 5 m2)
- 3' 3" x 33' = 108 sq ft (1 m x 10 m = 10 m2)
- 3' 3" x 98' 5" = 323 sq ft (1 m x 30 m = 30 m2)
- 6' 7" x 98' 5" = 646 sq ft (2 m x 30 m = 60 m2)
Common Questions
Does the KERDI membrane need to dry before tiling?
After properly installing the KERDI membrane on the substrate (e.g., wall or floor), it is crucial to allow the membrane to cure and dry before proceeding with the tile installation. This drying period ensures that the membrane has adhered securely to the substrate and provides a stable surface for the tile adhesive.
Can you use a modified Thinset with KERDI?
Using a modified thin-set with KERDI is not recommended because it contains additives, such as polymers, that can interfere with the proper installation and performance of the KERDI waterproofing membrane.
