Measure and cut the Schluter Kerdi waterproofing membrane to fit the area around the mixing valve. Leave some excess membrane around the valve to ensure complete coverage. Using a notched trowel, apply a layer of thin-set mortar to the area where you'll be installing the Schluter Kerdi membrane.
