For a very small job can this product be used in place of a tile adhesive / mortar?

Although grouts and mortars both hold similar building compounds, we DO NOT recommend using grout in place of a mortar / tile adhesive. Both grout and mortar have different purposes to fulfill.A mortar is a mix of cement, sand, and water. It is used as a binding agent for tiles, bricks and blocks on walls and floors. Grout is mostly used to fill the void after installing the tiles; it has a fluid texture with a high quantity of water and less amount of cement or lime compared to the mortar. A grout will have less adhesive quality and will be comparatively a weak binding agent.

How does this grout performance compare with urethane grout? Why choose this over urethane?

Urethane grout can leave a haze and after 24 hours it is nearly impossible to remove. We would recommend our Flex Color CQ since it is non-porous, doesnt change the color. The Ultracolor Plus FA is one of the best out there but it is porous.
